Workshop On Big Data Infrastructures For Data Intensive Applications - BIGDS2020

Monday, April 13, 2020 - 09:00
Oxford

In conjunction with the 6th IEEE International Conference on Big Data Computing Service and Machine Learning Applications, Apr. 13 - 16, 2020, Keble College, Oxford, United Kingdom.

Workshop Description
This workshop is intended to bring together researchers working on big data infrastructures. Big Data computing and management services are of utmost interest nowadays due to the large amount of data being generated every day in different domains ranging from user generated data to services and applications in different fields such as banking, transport, e-commerce and heath care among others. Frameworks for analyzing, visualizing and consuming these data must take into account their distributed, noisy and probably incomplete nature. Developers and researchers create new applications by also taking into consideration the underlying computing, storage and network infrastructure for the deployment, dimensioning and tuning.

This workshop aims to provide a venue for these diverse groups working on the next generation data infrastructures in order to promote big data architectures and data-related cloud services from the perspective of scalability, availability and efficiency.

Submission Information
We invite authors to submit original research work to BIGDS 2020. A submission may not be concurrently submitted to another conference, workshop, or journal. The length of a camera-ready paper will be limited to 8 pages (IEEE Proceedings style) with up to 2 additional pages (with charges for each additional page) printed on 10-12 point fonts. Authors must follow IEEE Proceedings Author Guidelines to prepare papers with the template. At least one of the authors of each accepted paper is required to pay full registration fee and present the paper at the workshop in person.

The accepted papers will be published as part of IEEE BigDataService 2020 Proceedings by IEEE CPS and included inside IEEE Xplore digital library. The workshop program will be included as a part of IEEE BigDataService 2020 program. Selected Papers will be invited to submit to a journal special issue with 40% updates and enhancements.
