2nd Workshop of EU Research & Innovation Maritime Projects

Today, on the 5th of November more than 200 participants took part in the 2nd Workshop of EU Research & Innovation Maritime Project, hosted by Danaos.
The main focus of the event was to disseminate knowledge and share the latest results among the maritime community of stakeholders and researchers.
Twenty representative projects funded by the European Union with hundreds of millions of euros covered areas such energy efficiency, zero emissions, robotics, artificial intelligence, big data analytics, cybersecurity, augmented reality, VR, MR, circular economy, biomimetic, alternate fuels or energy sources, nanotechnology applications, blockchain, deep learning, IoT, autonomy, intelligent drones, resilience, simulation, emulation, gamification, optimization, next-generation propulsion, life cycle cost estimation and many more.
Big Data is hot news amongst the latest research projects so Stathis Plitsos from DeepSea Technologies and Prof. Ch. Doulkeridis from the University of Piraeus presented our latest results at the event.
